Sharp County Outdoors is about the people of this community. We are here to find, sell, and service used tractors and equipment that you need to work on the farm and around the home. What makes us thrive is that we do not sell, we take care of customers. We ensure the used tractors are ready to work, or we will tell you what is needed if someone wants to tackle a unit we just brought in and save a little money. Our used dealership is more than a shop, it is a place that exchanges information, contacts, and friendship. Come stop by and see what we are about. And if you are new to the area, welcome. Founder’s Note
Joey Whited is a fourth generation Sharp County native, raised in Ash Flat, AR through the early part of his life and is the third of four brothers of the Whited family. His experience is in different industries and environments from big cities to small. His father, Bill, a well-known developer in the area before his passing, handed down to the Whited boys knowledge and skills of how to build with quality and how to solve problems.
For Joey, these skills have translated into many aspects of what he does. From building construction to fixing diesel machines, his resolve to overcome challenges with quality and cost effectiveness is apparent. Joey will tell you that sometimes this process will take time, but the problem will be solved (and solved right) when everyone else said it could not be done.
Joey is a licensed electrician, has built custom aircraft cabinets for some of the richest royalty in the world, and was once the youngest licensed General Contractor in the State of Arkansas.
But tractors is where Joey’s passion has landed. From the memories of his grandfather working at the Ford tractor dealership in Ash Flat to working side by side with his wife, Hazelle Marie, in the industry over the last seven years, Joey feels Sharp County Outdoors embodies what he loves about this business and is looking forward to sharing it with his customers.

Hazelle Whited, once a city girl in some of the busiest cities throughout the US, is now into her second decade of rural living since moving to Sharp County in 2009. You can only imagine what it was like to put someone with no experience in farming or tractors on one in 2013. Since then, she has sold hundreds of tractors and has a perspective that if she can learn how to use a tractor, anyone can.
Hazelle is a part-time fixture at the shop, also working with entrepreneurs in the region through her work with the University of Arkansas Extension Community Professional Economic Development. Hazelle helps keep up with the administrative side of the house, but she is an active part of the organization and ready to help customers.
The Real Boss
Matt Bruyette is a pro when it comes to fixing and servicing mowers and small engines but no stranger to understanding the in and outs of tractors and other equipment as well.
Matt is the right-hand man of this operation, and without his knowledge, understanding and awesome demeanor, SCO would not be on the track it is today to help customers. We have come to depend on him to help run the daily operations and was invaluable when we lost our daughter January 2021.
We are blessed to have him on the team and customers can expect a professional that will get your service needs done correctly and quickly.
